In their preparation for the AFC Cup that kicks off on February 9, Ahli Khaleel have appointed Ayman Sandouqa as their manager. Albeit relieving him from his duties as manager, the board believed that now former and previous manager Ibrahim Mansour is a valuable asset. Mansour will continue on at Ahli Khaleel as General Manager.

Ahli Khaleel have been disappointing in the Wataniya Mobile West Bank Pro League, now sitting in 8th place. Their exploits under Cusin last season were nothing short of fantastic, but his departure coupled with Claudio Rojas’ departure a couple months later led to managerial turmoil at the Hebron-based side. Mansour himself only managed the team for 52 days. Sandouqa himself has to hit the ground running from day 1, with the AFC Cup play-offs on the horizon.
